✈ Paris ... quand on ajoute deux lettres, c’est le paradis

In September I visited a friend in Paris. Though a bit cliché I’m totally in love with the city; I love everything about it. I went for a three day visit. Of course you need far more time if you want to visit the entire city, but here are some things definitely worth visiting:

Musée d’Orsay

You’ll find some nice collections from Van Gogh, Toulouse-Lautrec, Renoir etc. Also the famous painting of Courbet is housed there: l’origine du monde. The building itself is marvelous, a former train station, designed in art-niveau style. I especially love the magnificent station clock at the side wing facing the river Seine.

The Berko cupcake store

This shop is just great. You’ll find all kinds of cupcakes there, in all colours and tastes. They also sell different kinds of cakes and sweets. There is one Berko close to the Pompidou center.

The Carousel near the Sacré-Coeur

Going for a ride on the carousel is definitely worth the while!
But of course the nicest thing when going on a city-trip is to wander about the streets and discover what the city has to offer. The French have a nice verb that covers this entire idea in one single word: ‘flaner’
