✈ A trip on the Smoking Mary

When in Brazil we took a trip on the Maria Fumaça or 'Smoking Mary' from Sao Joao del Rei to Tiradentes. This old steamtrain takes you on an half an hour ride through the most beautiful landscapes from the mining state Minas Gerais.

Carnival in Venice - Italy

Last year I went to Venice to celebrate the carnival. Venice is beautiful the whole year round, but the carnival adds that little extra to the floating city.

Carnival in Brazil

As I'm currently there I hope to tell you more about it soon. We're not going to spend carnival in Rio de Janeiro (even tough I hope to catch a bit of pre-carnival while we're there). Instead we're going more south to Olinda and Salvador. We will also spend one night in Tiradentes for carnival. So excited!

✈ Bucket list! - Swimming with dolphins

To be honest this was not one of my big dreams, because usually they take advantage of it. It's really expensive for only a few minutes of swimming with the dolphins. Also, there are complaints of mistreating the animals... but when the organisation I travelled to Cuba with assured me that this was not the case here I decided to do it! I really enjoyed it! It's true that in the end you don't spend so much time with the dolphins, but the feeling after is amazing! :-)
